Default tusk&rumours-reissue in possession!

Yes, I was the first costumer in my local recordstore this morning, and Yes! after half an hour the deliveries were there. They opened the boxes and there they were! In the meantime I rambled on about the brilliance of Tusk and immediately after opening the packages I listened to the bonus-disk. The people who work there saw that my "advertising-talk" earlier was heartfelt... this teary-eyed son-of a B, looked up and laughed at them. I bought them both, don't wanna spoil anything, but after the first three tracks on the bonus disk you're up for a treat that reached my soul immediately. F*ck. This band is at least as brilliant in the process as they are brilliant in the endresult.

And the soundquality? Amazing. Listen to NTF, all you NTF-haters... You'll reconsider your opinion, cause that endthrash is friggin' brilliant, now that you can hear that every guitarpart has his own character as well as every "drum" clap has his own feel and sound.

a very happy

gerald

Dude, how is that possible to get it that early- I thought it is supposed for Tuesday or so! Congrats anyway, I hope amazon works quick also. Tusk remains my fav album. BTW- what about IKINW on the reissue disc1 - is it the vinyl version or the CD version with the different chorus?

I also got them this morning! Well, apart from Tusk because I remember reading that this was going to have a redisigned package (a digipack I thought, or a slipcase) but it was in an ordinary jewel case. Maybe only in the USA or am I mistaken here? Does anyone know?

I am listening to "FM" as I write and the sound quality is AMAZING!!!

By the way, most major releases are available on a Friday in countries like Holland and Belgium for some reason. I ain't complaining hahaha!

It's the CD version with the different chorus.

Like the VBOFM? They're a pain in the ass, but they sure are purdy.

yes...the cd version, isn't that remarkable?

but then again....wait until you hear the three takes on disk 2. They'e so different from eachother and SO Indie-poppunk they'll blow your brains out.

yes, mine are all over the place now.

I got them today too.
Yahoo they are great !!
At which store did you get them gerald ?
I got them at van leest. (the guy there also gives me discount )
Free record shop, (where i myself work) doesn't get them and now mention when they will be available there and even wether or not they will come in at all.
Idiots at buying i say.

I also bought copies on amazon.com (yes pathetic me also colects difirent printings lol)
Looking forward to the carton sleeve.
I agree on the soundquality it blew me away too.
My only disapointment is that "I Know I'm Not Wrong" is the cd version , but i agree with Gerald the 3 early versions on the Tusk bonus disc make up for allot.
The cd labels are very nice , they are the same as the label in the middle of the vinyl record (so with rumours you get the warner with the palmtrees , and with tusk the white label, ect ) VERY COOL TOUCH!!
I'm sure i'll get trough the weekend fine

Default Tusk packaging...???

So with the Tusk remaster, did they include all the mindblowing collages in some form? What about the pic with Stevie and her scarf lying on the ceiling? And what's all this about digipacks vs. jewel cases?

If anyone has them and a digital camera, can you please post some pics? I'm way below the poverty line at this point in time, and won't be able to get them in the near future...

Good old Kroese , only one store in Nijmegen and One in Arnhem. I don't need percentage off, because this store is (usually) a lot cheaper than Free record or van Leest. I paid 18 euro 90 for each album. The white album wasn't there yet, but they said they'll price it 12,90.

Enjoy your weekend! I'll work ......on saturday....

to bad you have to work
I normaly would have had to work too , but as i'm oficialy still on sickleave (still recovering from from my left hip which i broke in december) but i do work partime already on a therapeutic basis
only a few days and a few hours , and i figured i was not up for a busy saturday yet.

i got tusk and rumours for 20.69 each and the white album for 13.49 not a bargain i agree but he i would have been willing to pay a 100 each for new fm releases lol

Sorry, I don't have a digital camera but you won't be disappointed with the collages and there are extra pics I've never seen before. The disc itself looks like the label of the original vinyl record.
