Default No Tusk!

Dudes, I just walked 20 blocks to the nearest Best Buy to pick up the Tusk reissue, and guess what?

Sold out! What's up with that? The dude there told me they got 50 copies and they flew out the door. Somoene else was looking for it while I was there. It's not that funny, really.

They still had Rumours and Fleetwood Mac. But I wasn't interested, not at this time. I'll pick up Rumours later. For now I want Tusk. And that's enough for me.

Cristy, I have two more Best Buys I can visit when I go home. I could have picked one up at Barnes, but it was 24.99. Yikes! Daddy's on a budget!

And one of those damn stores better have it, or there's going to be some storms. And, then, you know, that's all for everyone...

and, of course, the terrorists win.

Don't fall off the ledge, carne, if there wasn't a store last friday with Tusk I would not have bought anything either! hang in dude, the longer the wait, the sweeter the bait. ( is that an english expression? I really never heard that before, so maybe I made it up myself!)

PS: how would you descibe the word "The Ledge" ? It's a difficult translatable word in Dutch.

They had all 3 reissues at Walmart for 23.87. I got mine this afternoon . I was really suprised that they had them. I thought I was going to have to drive 40 miles to Best Buy.

Better than the Best Buy near my house. I didn't see any on the shelf so I asked an employee in the music section, who said he didn't even know there were coming out & they didn't have any. I asked if he could go check in the back anyway, and he came out 20 minutes later with a boxcutter and 5 copies of each -- "haha, I found these in a box... is this what you're talking about?" ::sigh::

Gerald, it's the little shelf on the outside of a window. You know, the part you would stand on if you were going to off yourself from the 14th floor. In some buildings, you might even be able to step off the ledge and walk a thin line around the building if there's a two- or three-inch ridge along the wall.

I'm mad. I went to every record store including walmart and none of them have or going to have any of the re-issues. I can order it in for $39 if I want it. Forget that.
So can some one make me a copy of the Tusk one please?
I will pay the costs and for shipping.

Thanks. I always translated it no further than the dutch equivalent of "Edge" . This puts another perspective on the song for me too. So Tusk actually IS quite suicidal in its range of associations: "ledge", "walk a thin line", suicide note "that's all for everyone" "save me a place" "that's enough for me".

I feel silly. Heard that album on a almost dayly basis since the day it came out. And I never knew it was SO obvious. I had a clue, but now it reveals more. Stupid.

What is up with Best Buy stores and Tusk?

I went to mine and grabbed up copies of the White album and Rumours, but didn't see any Tusk on the shelves. I asked and the guy told me it didn't come out and "it could have been pushed back...that happens with CDs sometimes." I knew it wasn't pushed back so I went to Circuit City and they had one copy of Tusk for $19.99. So yeah, Best Buy dude. It was released.

I'm going to wait and use my Best Buy bucks when it finally shows up there, but it seems like BB and Tusk just haven't mixed today. I saw messages on another board about people having trouble getting it there. Weird.

And, if you fell, you'd realize over & over that you'd never forget that it's not that funny.
