I don't see why everyone assumes there must be a new cd to promote for Stevie to do a simple series of concerts - there wasn't anything to promote for the milenium concerts a few years ago. And I've heard that "Stevie has never done six nights in a row", but she has also never stayed in one city for that long, if you don't have to travel it must be pretty easy for her.
I think, if there's one thing we know Stevie loves to do, it's play for people [ ...and charge them a whole lot ;-) ]. I am so tempted... yet so broke... I wonder how early tickets will go on sale? And how much they'll be. Eep.

Do you think Fleetwood Mac will ever reunite? Maybe. But not with me or Christine or Lindsey. Christine and I will always be close; Lindsey just plain doesn't like me. I never had any musical training of any kind. I just had this innate ability to walk in, sit down at a piano, and write a song in five minutes, and go to bed. It drives him nuts. - Stevie Nicks, 1994 Last edited by bootylicous; 10-30-2003 at 06:58 PM.. |

Let's hope they're not as expensive as Elton John at that venue... his tickets are $195-550!!! |

I am going to save $20 a week from my paycheck for this!
Thanks for checking this out!!Just a thought, but... Chances are that mostly hardcore fans will shell out Vegas style money to see Stevie and the tickets will be snapped up immediately. So...*maybe* Stevie will play songs that only us die-hards would know. Blue Lamp, Running Through the Garden (!!!), Storms, some out-of-left-field album tracks, stuff like that. Cross your fingers. ![]()

Everything in regards to ticket prices in Vegas is very expensive. Fleetwood Mac tickets which have been about 125 in most cities were 250 in vegas. So plan on a hefty price. I would seriously doubt any new album is involved with these shows. A week in Vegas is incredible money for an artist. Usually casual fans looking for entertainment not caring how much they spend. Sets are not all that long as most just come to hear the hits. Probably a weeks worth of 90 minute sets for Stevie will make her a Millionaire.

I called the Caesar's box office today, but they didn't have any information about the dates in question.
TicketVision appears to be a ticket broker, not the most credible source (they probably lifted the info from VH1 and figured they could start taking deposits ). Guess we'll have to wait and see... Daniel stevie-nicks.info |

Well if this is true, I am doomed! Of course I am going to want to go, but it looks so expensive.
I was looking at the prices, and even Celeine Dion, who is there almost every single night, is still charging up to $500 for a decent seat. I am assuming that Stevie would charge more since she is only there for a limited time. So, with two $500 concert tickets, 2 plane tickets, a couple nights at a hotel, and money for restraunts and other fun things in Vegas, we are looking at a $2,000 to $3,000 weekend! I don't know, if we find out something really official soon then maybe I can just start saving and see what happens, but for most people, me included, it is a lot of money... Speaking of which, how do a lot of you go to so many concerts on each tour without losing your job or becoming broke? Are you all millionaires????

The hotel built the concert hall specifically for Celine Dion. It's got some sort of misting system that keeps the air nice and moist so she won't get a case of "dry throat" from the hot desert air. I just recently read an article somewhere that said the atmosphere inside the venue is horrible for the customers but great for the performers. If I was Stevie, and I was going to do Vegas for a week, that would be my venue of choice too. And btw, the ticket prices for Celine & Elton are said to be the most expensive in town--or almost anywhere else in the world for that matter. So if this story is true. . . we'd better start saving up! Vegas ain't cheap by no means--even if you don't gamble!

I just checked Celine's official site and these are the ticket prices they list for her own shows.
Ticket Pricing: Reg. Price PL 1 $225.00 VIP Orchestra PL 2 $175.00 Orchestra PL 3 $127.50 First Mezzanine PL 4 $ 87.50 Second Mezzanine I thought ticketvision was like tickets.com and didn't realize they were a broker. I apologize for the misinformation. I do think this series of shows is going to be confirmed but I wonder how difficult it's going to be to score a decent seat for face value. |
