Lindsey's photo (Mirage era with the little hat) is in the letter section of the latest Rolling Stone (Johnny Cash on the cover). It says:
Battle of the Guitarists The names mentioned most often: Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham, Zakk Wylde of Ozzy Osborne's band, Ted Nugent, Chet Atkins and Slash of Guns n' Roses. I skimmed through the letters, but didn't find another reference to him. Also in case you haven't seen it yet, here is a fun article on Stevie: Sex, drugs and Stevie Nicks |

I see someone else has gotten their copy of Rolling Stone as well
![]() There is one reference to him in letters that is on the second letter page. It goes as follows: No sign of Lindsey Buckingham or Bruce Springsteen. Perhaps you didn't attend any mind-blowing concerts this summer and stayed home listening to your Moby Grape records. --Steve Baeck, Los Angeles This is precisely what I wanted to read when I opened RS today. The names mentioned most often: Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham...Chet Atkins. Good. I'm glad it wasn't just a few of us that felt he and Mr. Atkins should have been included on that list along with a whole slew of others. Also note that Patty Smyth-McEnroe...as in "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" and "No Mistakes" married to John McEnroe Patty Smyth...put in her two cents on page two of the letters. I was surprised to see her name at the end of that and I definitely agreed with a lot of what she had to say as well. Anyhow, shower time! Tomara |

Rolling Stone....why don't you turn into Teen Rolling Stone.
![]() Those are the names I noticed the most on the website message board too. Perhaps next time, they'll get their head out of their butt and put him on the friggin list. ![]()

Great Stevie article! I guess one quote in there pretty much sums it up:
"I walk on stage, I'm very strong, I'm still pretty cute and I rock." |

OK I picked up the Courier-Mail from the shop and instead of the article being tucked away somewhere it is the entire title-page of the weekend arts section. There is this big title "SEX, DRUGS, AND STEVIE NICKS" (good grief) and then this humungous picture of her that I don't think I've seen before. Truth be told it's a rather strange picture. If they were going for her beauty or something they could've easily done better. I think it's trying to capture her as ravaged or something.
It's still a pretty picture though. I know - it shows her as 'pretty', not 'beautiful' (and almost every other photo I've seen shows her as beautiful). It might even be from that period between Street Angel to the Dance ... that's the period the article talks about anyway. She looks a bit youngish for it to be a recent photo. Her hair has this wall of fringe that is just pasted over her temple right down to her eyebrows. There are a few little pink jewels on her blouse (which is black). Does anyone know this photo? I don't have a scanner of digicam so I can't post it. I think there's even a tear in her eye. It's very close-up. The article continues onto the second page where they have that 70s b&w pic of the Mac - not the one embedded in the GH photo, but similar. Just the stock Rumours photo.

To quote Stevie: "That is when I get a big, fabulous Japanese fan and cool myself for five minutes," she laughs. "I may as well be fabulous while I'm suffering. "
That is the best thing I've ever heard! I cracked up when I read this...Maria

Well I certainly sent my 2 cents into Rolling Stone.
"No sign of Lindsey Buckingham or Bruce Springsteen. Perhaps you didn't attend any mind-blowing concerts this summer and stayed home listening to your Moby Grape records." Love that quote. "Rolling Stone....why don't you turn into Teen Rolling Stone. " No kidding! What has happened to them? How many times this year have we had to look at Brittney Spears or Christina Auguliera (sorry sp) on the cover. This magazine used to be about musicians and politics.

I responded to my issue--actually the article online, I thought it was pretty simple: LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM
C'mon. I'm still upset about Jack White.

My favorite quotes from this interview:
"That is when I get a big, fabulous Japanese fan and cool myself for five minutes," she laughs. "I may as well be fabulous while I'm suffering. "Did you ever see that movie The Never-Ending Story? There is a character in that film, a blob called The Nothing. Well, I turned into The Nothing. I was The Nothing for eight years. " "I was never going to return to cocaine because when I made the decision to stop doing coke, I was saving my life," Nicks says. "I was never going back to coke, so that doctor was an idiot. "If I could, I would go and kill him today because he ruined my life." "If I didn't spend those eight years on medication, I would have done two or three really great albums, Fleetwood Mac may have re-formed ._._. " Hmmm... that last one is very interesting.
