Rumours:DVD-A tracklist VS. original
I was checking out the DVD-A section at Best Buy the other day, and noticed a definate tracklist difference.
To me, I think that one looks a lot better than the original! Songbird is a great closer for a live show OR album, and Silver Springs would be an awesome closer to either album side, and back in the 70's that would have been side 2. I still have no clue why Silver Springs wasn't included originally. How couldn't have they noticed that it was better than the lacklustre Oh Daddy or the fun, yet lesser track I Don't Want To Know? Sorry I'm still fairly new to these guys and don't know all the retarded junk that the hardcores know yet. Actually, after seeing the DVD-A tracklist it almost makes the originals listing look sort of awkward in comparison. Even though I'm young (23) I was raised on vinyl and still think in those terms. Songbird ending the first side makes it seem more like an afterthought. Not including Silver Springs at all was just ****ing stupid. What do you guys think? I know they wouldnt throw outtakes after, say, Black Dog or say, Carry That Weight, if those albums were on the format too. Messing with those tracklists is kind of like editing the bible to rock fans. Whaddayathink? |

I recently got a hold of a Rumours tape... and found it very odd that the track order was a little different. Second Hand News and I Don't Wanna Know were swithed! Not sure why they did that. Maybe to even the time of both sides? Hmmm.
