Thumbs up Kim Carnes w/ Lindsey Buckingham

Hi. Not sure this has been posted, but since the Kim Carnes CD, Barking At Airplanes, is OOP, I thought you'd enjoy the remastered Begging For Favors (Learning How Things Work) song with Lindsey playing guitar and singing background vocals.

I love this song.

Thanks Richard.
I never knew Lindsey worked with Kim Carnes.
Kinda funny too considering a lot of people think Stevie sang Bette Davis Eyes!

Yeah, thanks for posting. There's an edginess to LB's voice that's hard to find elsewhere minius the Buckingham Nicks LP. And of course LB's guitar styling makes the song listenable. Big Thanks!!!!

You're all so welcome.

Since I'm a fan of raspy voices, I was always drawn towards Kim Carnes. The album that this song is from, IMO, is her best effort.

Lindsey's vocals really push it to edgy. The lyric "she won't be begging for favors (favors)" runs through my head frequently. I really like the sound of it.

I wish he played more on that album.

Thanks for sharing.

This song reminds me how much I intensely dislike saxophones in pop. I have to admit, I've never been a fan of Kim's voice, and here, it just gets in my way when I'm trying to listen to Lindsey. They really just don't mix well, imo.

I'll listen to it again later, when I'm in an 80's mood.

It has saxophones? Gah. I don't need to hurry to listen to this then.

Not a big fan of Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" either, eh?

I like that song except for the sax parts. I really just don't care for sax tones/timbre. I don't like the sound of any reed instrument excepting double reeds and a limited amount of jazz clarinet.
