I think Bekka got the rawest deal being fired by fax machine telling her to tour with REO Speedwagon. Mick threw Bekka and Lindsey overboard just for Stevie.

I don't understand why she started to talk about the fake FM with Dreams live.
I know there is no video of that band but playing a Mac song from those early year would have made more sense. ![]() I understand Weston have to go and Mick's decision was inevitable. But he and any member who played on albums should have been at the RRHOF, if health permitted it. Well, we already have talked a lot about it. Anyway Welch absense was the worst. Oh yes he sued tha band. That is more than enough reason to never be friends again, collaborate on tracks, hint at reunions, etc.... ISN'T THAT??? Cause... cause... what about 2018?

Here's the next 90 minutes of your day, kids. Listen to song #2,SYLM, and tell me that Bekka's not the best singer FM ever had. That girl had pipes to die for.

Bekka deserved better but Bob Welch really got screwed over more. We know Mick's now infamous quote, "Bob Welch saved Fleetwood Mac." Without Bob, Fleetwood Mac likely doesn't move to America and Lindsey and Stevie never join the band. He's probably one of the biggest lynchpins in music history because without him, so much changes. The R&R HoF is what it is but the fact he was left out will forever be one of the greatest disgraces. Not to mention, he made some of the band's best all-time songs like Future Games and Hypnotized.
What makes it hurt all the more is how he chose to end his life. It's something that makes my heart hurt when I think about him. I understand and sympathize why Bob did what he felt he needed. I wish it didn't have to end that way. He deserved so much better. Quote:

Someone correct me if I am wrong but in Mick's second book he made his personal peace with Weston and sort of regretted the way he treated him. Although sleeping with someone's wife is a big deal. But they were all sleeping around anyway.
Bekka's firing was just as horrific as Lindsey's because Mick did not tell the truth in either case. He could of met Bekka and told her the 5 members were getting back together for a tour and he appreciated their "time" together during this era of the band. But he does not even call her. He faxes her and hits below the belt telling her to tour with REO. Bekka and Billy heard of the Dance reunion around the time of the New Years Eve gig in Las Vegas 1995 (an entire year before The Dance). Lindsey's firing he did not even have the courage to do it by email. Wasn't it Stevie's manager? Didn't Lindsey have difficulty reaching band members and got responses like "I just bought a house." The story kept changing. Welch was treated horribly at the RRHOF (an award Mick later sold). Unfortunately Bob's lawsuit came at the worst time for everyone. Fleetwood Mac looked like it was done and Mick panicked over losing more royalty money. To think the chump change Bob was probably seeking while the band was about to make tens of millions again. I am still baffled by this case. Correct me if I am wrong but Welch found out the band renegotiated a deal about royalties without him sometime and he found out about that deal years later. The band supposedly iced Bob out of this new deal hoping he would never find out.

It boggles my mind that Mick is loved, but he treats people so badly. Becka and Lindsey both forgave him. He treated Stevie and Silver Springs badly and she forgave that also

Mick needs you until he does not need you and something better comes along. But wait he's gonna need you again and pretends like nothing happened. If Bekka became a superstar in a solo career and Stevie left the band Mick would be praising her because he would need her again.

Yes I agree Mick is a user and needs you until he does not need you. But I also agree he is loved. Why Bekka and specially Lindsey forgave him? I know money moves mountains, and we could easily say that, for that reason alone, they might work together again. But it seems Lindsey still views Mick as a friend. Mystery to me.

I think Mick changed with the superstardom and having incredible pop success with the band. He had a lifestyle that people dreamed about. The problem is he could never keep that lifestyle. He is not a singer so he will do anything for good singers and songwriters in the band. Up to 1974 they had a comfortable lifestyle with almost no pop or huge commercial success. Even with Chris and Bob in the band they made their money with touring. Suddenly there are 3 songwriters in the band taking the band to #1. The money came flowing in. Albatros was a #1 hit in England but even though it was Peter Green it was an instrumental song and all of the band shared the success. Mick got spoiled and he's been chasing the dragon since 1983. He keeps trying to get back up to where he was. So he will do meet and greets or sell Biddy's undies to keep him afloat. This is why I love the Mick vs Stevie years. Mick was bitter she was gone and was fighting her instead of what he does now which is do anything for anyone as long as he makes money.
At the end of the day Fleetwood Mac is a business. This is why there was no friendship strong enough to put Stevie in her place when Lindsey got fired. They were all co-workers. A true friend would have said NO WAY. Had Stevie tried to fire Mick I guarantee John and Chris would have stopped it. Those 3 share a bond and are friends. But everything else is just a business decision especially for Mick.
