Default What does 'will call' mean regarding 24 KG tour tickets?

Hi everyone

I recently purchased my ticket to see Stevie's 24 Karat Gold show in California. I am Australian. I would have preferred to have my ticket mailed or even emailed to me. These options were not available, particularly posting the ticket, as Ticketmaster seem to have forgotten that a big wide world exists outside America and as such are not accepting overseas addresses.

So I went with the 'will call' option for my ticket.

What does 'will call' mean? How do I get my ticket? What identification will I need?

Thanks.

James

You go to the box office bring identification and the credit card that you purchased the ticket with just to be on the safe side and pick them up

What it really means is that you won't have a chance to scalp it.
It allows them to control everything.

The only time it's convenient is when you buy the ticket at a late date
and they hold it for you.

not true , I was allowed to pick up my Adele tickets at the box office at 4:30 the day of the show, there was a line of scalpers making offers for them to resell them and people hanging at he box office looking too buy tickets asking for people too sell them

I was thinking about another reason they are doing the "Will Call" thing is they dont want to rely on the the post office getting the tickets delivered on time .I remember the post office lost tix on me for a couple of shows and they cancelled the scan numbers and very quickly send out the replacement tickets.I like the real tickets and never like the print your own type.

OK. There is laws in the books for each state that the scalpers cant be close to the box office by so many feet. The scalpers that I dealt with were in the parking lot or the walkway to the box office. Also there's laws in some states that they cant sell tickets more the face value.More likely the laws will get broken.

SO BUYER BEWARE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Heres some info on scalpers and resellers.

https://seatgeek.com/tba/articles/ticket-resale-laws/

Also.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ticket_resale

Qouted from Wikipedia.

"United States
A sign prohibiting tickets sales at any price

In the United States, ticket resale on the premises of the event (including adjacent parking lots that are officially part of the facility) may be prohibited by law. These laws vary from state to state, and the majority of US states do not have laws in place to limit the value placed on the resale amount of event tickets or where and how these tickets should be sold. Ticket resellers may conduct business on nearby sidewalks, or advertise through newspaper ads or ticket brokers.

Some US states and venues encourage a designated area for resellers to stand in, on, or near the premises, while other states and venues prohibit ticket resale altogether. Resale laws, policies and practices are generally decided, practiced and governed at the local or even venue level in the US and such laws and or interpretations are not currently generalized at a national level.

Another issue in the US is that since ticketing laws vary by state, many ticket resellers use a loophole and sell their tickets outside of the state of an event.[29] Therefore, a ticket reseller who is reselling tickets to an event at New York's Madison Square Garden is not subject to New York State's markup laws as long as the sale takes place outside of New York. The majority of ticket brokers in the New York metropolitan area have their offices in bordering states New Jersey and Connecticut for this reason.[citation needed] "

Sorry about repeating this. if it was explained earlier. For Identification at the "Will Call" window is your credit card that you use to purchase the tix also your drivers licence or ID card or passport.Get there EARLY because there will be alot of people with this "Will call" deal they are using.
