Default Little Lies (semi-new version)

Aaaaand here's another TANGO track for you... This is a newly edited version of the 1987 Jellybean remix of "Little Lies".

I've cut it up to make it less annoying (that breakdown in the middle is gone) and you can hear Stevie at the ending a little more clearly, I think. It's just over 5 min long and is 320 kbps.

Thank you for the link. I've never heard this remix before. It's quite good actually. I never realised how well suited Christine's voice was to dance tracks.

Surprised you haven't heard this version before! Glad you are enjoying it. I always enjoyed Stevie's vocals at the end.

Here's a different version where around 3 min in the "regular" studio cut gets spliced with the ending of the jellybean remix. I prefer this version actually

You can also play (preview it) here if you want before you DL:

BTW I loved your "Friend" re-mix. I listen to it over the others.

I haven't heard that version in a long time. That made me pull out all my 12" singles. I have all four of the "Specially Priced Maxi Singles." I'm not a big fan of most of the mixes, but some are better than others. I like them most for the picture art!

Seven Wonders
extended version
dub
Book of Miracles

Big Love
extended remix
house on the hill dub
piano dub
You and I part one

Family Man
extended vocal remix
i'm a jazz man dub
extended guitar remix
family party (bonus beats)
Down Endless Street

Little Lies
extended version
dub
Ricky

Also, I have a 12" single of Everywhere with an extended version, a dub version and When I See You Again.

I've never been a huge fan of the original remix but always listened because of Stevie's ending so this is a special treat for me. Thank you for sharing it.

No, I mean the other one. The re-edit of the Jellybean remix. I have the original but that break in the middle where they take Christine's voice going "Lies lies lies lies" always drives me crazy. LOL!

I love it when I open a thread intent on discovering it's delicious and new contents, only to find I was the first one to comment -_-.

Do you guys remember a skit that Martin Short once did on either SNL or SCTV where he played this sort of Rat Pack inspired Vegas performer who goes into a recording studio and they keep trying to pair him up with people for a duets album but every time it's his turn to sing, no matter if it's a ballad or a swing number or what, he starts to sing a line or two and then goes "bada bing, bada boom... yadda yadda yadday... okay, that's a wrap" or something like that. And everyone keeps getting more and more frustrated with him. Stevie's extra Tango vocals always make me think of that. Like she dragged Lindsey into the studio one day without even knowing the songs and just laid them all down in five minutes.

I'm not even hinting that this is what really happened. It just pops into my mind like a late 80's SNL skit.

Stevie: Okay Lindsey, hit record.
Lindsey: Don't you want to know what song it is?
Stevie: Nah, I'll wing it... wing... wings... bird wings... Lindsey, we should go to a park and record the sounds of birds ris...
Lindsey: Not this again
Stevie: What, huh? Oh, yeah... go ahead, I'm ready.
Lindsey: If you say so
(Little Lies starts playing)
Stevie: Hmm, lies... lies.. okay... Tell me lies, woah! Sweet little lies... tell me liiiies. Oh no well you can't disguise... ooOOooOOoooooh! Okay, next! House up on that hill! House up on that hill!!! Well, it's a big big loooove yah!!!
Lindsey: Um... we're not on that one yet.
Stevie: *door slam then silence
Lindsey: ****.

(I love that the forum edited out the "S" word. *giggle)
