Default Which Album Should I Buy / SYW and DVD Questions

Okeydokes, so I don't have all (or most) of the Fleetwood Mac albums, and I need some more Stevie albums too. I need some help deciding what I should get next. I was going to get the expanded version of Rumours today (I have the normal one), but I decided against it, because FM's supposedly re-releasing it. I have a lot of songs from the albums on iTunes though.

As for the SYW question, I found a 2-disk edition too. Does anyone have it, is it worth buying? Is Christine on it? (I feel stupid asking that one.)

Another question, I found this "Fleetwood Mac - Unbroken Chain" DVD. Anyone have that?

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

I don't think Chris is on the 2-disc edition of SYW. The second disc is just live tracks.

Haven't watched "Unbroken Chain" either, but I thought of getting it too.

Well since Tusk being on this list means you dont yet own Tusk, my choice was easy. You need to go right out (immediately after you read this post) and purchase Tusk.

When you get around to buying SYW, just get the cheapest one you can buy. The two disk is not worth it. Just 4 extra songs 2 of them are live versions of songs will eventually be on LIB.

Are you kidding? You need to buy Tusk before anything else. It's easily the equal of Rumours, although many, including me, think it's superior.
I'd say the live albums + all those Stevie Nicks compilations and Street Angel should be last on your list.

Buy Tusk, then Tango, then Mirage, then Say You Will, then Behind The Mask, then Fleetwood Mac Live. I don't know what Stevie albums you already have but you need Bella Donna, The Wild Heart, Trouble In Shangri-La, Enchanted before anything else, then Rock A Little and The Other Side Of The Mirror and finally Street Angel if you must. Timespace and Crystal Visions are only if you don't like albums and just want the singles.

The SYW two-disc edition only has two extra songs, Lindsey singing a cover of Bob Dylan's Love Minus Zero and a pretty good Stevie track called Not Make Believe, and there's also Peacekeeper and Say You Will from the AOL sessions. It depends on how much you want those tracks. If it's really expensive I'd go for the regular edition. If it's not much more then it's probably worth it. And no Christine isn't on SYW.

The DVD Unbroken Chain isn't really worth getting imo.

I'd get Tusk...than I'd get them in order of what came next.

OK, sounds great! I'll work with the plan and start tonight by ordering Tusk. I do have all of Stevie's solo albums except for Timespace, Crystal Visions, and Street Angel. (Even Enchanted!)

I voted fot Tusk but.. is it the equal?? I don't think so. I don't think it's superior or less, it is just different. Less commercial, maybe more artistic, more "Lindsey".. Well the 3 first (Rumours lineup) albums are great, hard to choose though my favorite would be Rumour. Actually it depends on the day I listen it. Sometimes the white album is my fave, sometimes Tusk, and sometimes Rumours.

OK, soooooo using Amazon I was able to buy the 2-disk edition of Tusk, Mirage, Tango in the Night, AND Say You Will for about $40. I'm so excited, I can't wait!

Oh, are you a new fan? That's so cool!!

I would definitely get things in chronological order. So I guess start with Tusk, and then work from there.

Okey dokes. Looks like I'm getting Tusk.

I'm a fairly new fan. I've known all the words to the entire Dance CD most of life, but I didn't really know who Fleetwood Mac was. Then I discovered the Bella Donna CD, and fell in love with Stevie's music. And of course I knew Rhiannon, that's my name.

Tusk, hands down, no competition. I wouldn't even bother buying Street Angel, TISL, Behind the Mask, and Timespace... or at least not right away. Can you tell I don't like those albums? If you get Crystal Visions, get the one with the DVD!

Tusk is the best in the list since is one of the 3 albums of the late 70s era/Rumours lineup and that era was IMHO the best Fleetwood Mac one. But it's hard to choose, since I love Tango and THE DANCE.

About live albums, I'd choose THE DANCE.

SYW? well from the 2 discs edition I only like the Bod Dylan song Lindsey sings. It is not that worth it I think, but if you don't mind to the price difference, get it.

We are not sure yet if the new Rumours edition will include all the bonus tracks of the last reissue, check it when they announce the complete content.
