I just found that record the other day. I found this cool record store in my area. I bought " The Visitor", Bob Welch "French Kiss". and Walter Rgan "Not Shy". It has been years of searching for me. They are going to give me a call when they get Buckingham/Nicks in.

This is a good album: fun, unpretentious, flirty, funny, relaxed.

Do you have the CD? If you do, any chance of your posting MP3s of 160 or higher?

Which, I think, is what I enjoy about this the most. It very easily could have gone THAT direction, given the nature of this recording. For as good as "Graceland" is, or Peter Gabriel's more "world music" material is, there's such a seriousness to it that typically rubbs me the wrong way. Mick was able to showcase music of another culture without making a political statement about it.

This was ripped directly from the CD, but I'm not sure if the software I'm using has that ability.

very true, I love this album and I did from day one. I only think it's a pity that it is less coherent than the simon/gabriel-things. well mick is not a songwriter so all his soloalbums except the last one suffer from that, but having said that, I must admit that I prefer the first two.

cohesive post huh?

So good of you to share this long OOP CD. No need for me to download since I have the official CD as well...but wanted to give you kudos for taking the time to post the entire album for peeps. This is a gem.

My favorite on this is Cassiopeia Surrender.

People interested in The Visitor may also be interested in the original version of You Weren't In Love With Me by it's composer Billy Field.

(Technically this is currently available on a small independent re-issue label here in Aus and on a Japanese import 2-for-1 of Bill's 1st two albums, but I figure he won't lose too many sales if a few Ledgies have a listen.)

As I said in another forum, I find the lyric changes for The Visitor version a bit odd.

Don't use AudioGrabber to rip MP3s. It provides only 56 bitrate encoding, which is hardly sufficient for ripping farts, let alone good MP3s.

Download the freeware CDex here:

What about simply ripping it with Windows Media Player? You can rip high quality using that. If you go into Tools -> Options -> Rip Music, and select mp3 as your format, and put the slider to Best Quality, then insert the cd...
