He deserved it, he was expecting that income. And settling was cheaper in the long run for the band because if they’d gone to trial, that would have cost them tons more PLUS they would have lost anyway, and probably paid even more in damages.

The rumour I heard swirling around is that he got 7 million. Pure rumor and speculation. We probably will never know. Regardless, thats a big chunk of coin. It's still probably less than he would have made on the tour. His lawyer had to get paid too. The irony of greed and wanting to maximize profit with keeping Stevie in the band is confusing in that they did not consider breach of contract before such a move. Besides the legacy issue no one had the guts to confront the band, Stevie and her management to tell her.......the band will be in breach of contract for such a move and Lindsey will be paid anyway.
