sadly, not surprising she says she's getting along better with her parents now than when her parents were alive.. they were the only people (except sometimes Lindsey) who were still able to tell her straight up when she'd do something wrong. now she can imagine them telling them whatever she wants.  |
They need her--plain and simple IMO. Everyone gives Christine a lot of credit for being the voice of reason in this band of misfit junkies, and before she left, I can see why, however, she came back, which was awesome, but let's be honest, can't carry a note in a bag. Whatever magic LB worked to make her sound palatable on Buckvie, was lost when they fired him. Mick NEEDS her more than anyone else. He will ride her coattails wherever they take him. Case in point---the "Dreams" meme going around now---He just hadda get on board. He can't resist. Say what you will about her (Stevie), but she doesn't need FM anymore, and hasn't for a long time. The fear of her solo career came true. But they most certainly need her. She's savvy and my hat is off to her for that. So while we know Christine and Mick knew of the pushback around LBs firing, they were probably leading the charge in keeping the pushback from her. THEY NEED HER---she certainly does not need them. A happy Stevie is a better bank account for C, J, M. And Mike and Neil were just puppets in the facade
