It’s not incorrect but his wording, as usual, underplays Christine’s abilities. He always makes sure to let the world know he “helped her” or that “she wanted me to do that for her.” We get it Lindsey, you’re the genius.
I sound annoyed, sure, but I also have a great deal of respect for Lindsey as a songwriter, player, and arranger. I love the new album, even with all the breathy vocals. But man, his constant need to prop himself by underplaying Christine’s musical capabilities is really annoying. He never admits that her “musical ideas” are of interest in themselves.
