Nor do I think that John, Christine, or Mick would care whether he writes a book.

Agree it wouldn't be surprising at all if Irving tried to get such a clause past Lindsey and his team. Also agree that LB's team wouldn't let him be muzzled by Irving in that way even tho it's highly unlikely he will ever actually write a book. It's the power dynamic-- I don't see Lindsey giving that kind of power to control him over to Azoff. And frankly it's not a wise biz decision because he may live a long time and somehow need the money or whatever down the line (not super likely, but...) and why close off that option?

Agree that Stevie and her team would absolutely care if he wrote a book. Look at the extent to which they/she replied to all his comments in the press after his firing. Leaving himself the option to write a book gives him leverage, whether he ever uses it or not. ("I own the masters"). Azoff would want that sort of clause to protect Stevie... as he stated, he and Stevie have been in complete alignment for years. But, what if she wrote a book dishing dirt on LB, and he's signed away a right to reply via his own book? Just not a smart option and I don't see anyone advising Lindsey encouraging him to agree to it.
