Okay, so to answer some of the questions. I found out it was definitely taken in America, in New Orleans, possibly before or after Christine’s very first show. At the 22:50 mark of the 2001 Coming Home Doc (
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=O8ty2VZ-TrE) the larger picture shows the band standing outside of the marquis. This leads me to believe two of the other men in the pic are members of Savoy Brown—or Fairport Convention?
I do remember seeing moving footage of this very scene but I cannot remember where. I will look further into it!
