Eh, half of America thinks my favorite singer is an overweight old lady who sounds like a goat. Taste is completely subjective. I don't care for GaGa or Madonna and think that their music is almost entirely the product of others' work (especially in Madonna's case), but I'll give them credit for inspiring many.
And really, I may not like her but I completely agree that Madonna is the Queen of Pop. She may not be able to sing worth a damn, but she's been one of the most influential entertainers in history and an impressive chain of hits.
GaGa may take over eventually, but two albums cannot dethrone Madge. Especially since her stock seems to have already fallen considerably. It bears mentioning that 21, another pop album, returned to the #1 spot after BTW spent only 2 weeks there. IMO, Gaga isn't even this year's Queen of Pop.
