YOU HAVE the Buckingham Nicks album available to you already, why would you WISH to give up your hard earned cash for it? If you "need" to hold it in your hands, burn it to disc...use somebody's "light scribe" to etch artwork onto the disc itself...use a jewel case labelling software to recreate the album artwork. It's a "DIY" world now.
The reason Lindsey & Stevie DON'T release it is that for all intents, it HAS been released...those who want/wanted it, HAVE IT. They don't have to invest (read: risk) their own money 1) to recreate the artwork for a CD package, 2)compile/remix/remaster the songs, 3) find a label to distribute it....THEN have to track its sales. They'd be losing money in the long run. It's more financially sound to NOT release it.

I see your point, Chili. Maybe they missed the boat on this. A few years ago they could have really had a great package to put together with pictures and demos and other extras. That's what I'm looking for - I don't need them to just re-release BN. I'm
expecting them to give us a little more goodies from that era. Lost concert footage or home movies, maybe...
something. Now that downloading is taking over, I don't know you can do those kind of packages for any other reasons other than nostalgia/cross-promotion. Neil Young and Tom Petty come to mind. They've done similar things. Does it work? I don't know. I guess TPTB could come up with some catch for a "farewell" Mac tour: "Fleetwood Mac featuring Buckingham Nicks" and they could throw a few BN tunes in the set? Eh...

I would take that if I couldn't have a BN "tour" or something like Soundstage where they performed the entire album live.
