Fleetwood Mac saw mad success in the 1970s and 1980s with “Dreams,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Hold Me,” but after recording 1987’s Tango in the Night, the band splintered. In 1997, Fleetwood Mac returned with a live album, The Dance. Mac was back, and with baby boomers willing to pay, the band was right on time. A successful arena tour followed, which kept Mac on the road throughout much of 1997. The band came back in 2009, sans Christine McVie, with the Unleashed Tour. Stevie Nicks made headlines in May when she announced Mac would tour in 2012 and release new material, and to say the upcoming reunion is one of the most anticipated of the decade is far from a hyperbole.
