After the show, we had a classic locker-room victory celebration kisses, hugs, champagne, intense feelings of relief mingled with fatigue. To me it felt like the end of an era. And it indeed turned out to be exactly that.

EXACTLY!! Lindsey AND Stevie should've "gone their own way" right after that tour...instead of launching a half-assed, rushed between Fleetwood Mac albums solo careers, just dive in head first...go for it all. Let Mick, John & Christine start fresh again. But, no...we got the insomnia inducing, interminably long breaks between albums & tours. And, was there any kind of growth in those breaks? Not really...not from a songwriting aspect...sure, Lindsey had newly developed studio toys & effects to play with, but that's about it. Strip away that production and any of their songs could've been from any other album.
Basically, they WASTED their time, OUR time, everybody's time in the 80's.
And, despite the "bump" in popularity
The Dance had, I still claim that '97
Rumours five reunion was the WORST thing that Fleetwood Mac could've done, and sure enough did.
