I love horror movies, but not slasher films which aren't really scary anyway. I don't know if I can pick my three favorites, but three I loved watching are:
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
The Fourth Kind
The Strangers
When I was a kid, I remember being horrified by The Prince of Darkness - so corny now but it sure did scare me then.
