Dude, it was in 2009. And that "dingbat" has been around A LOT longer than our Stevie has and she's still working and going strong. She's been the #1 selling female recording artist in the US for almost a decade now, and made over 30 studio albums in a 40 year career span. Dingbats sure do well for themselves.
Anyway...Stevie was in the Top 10 on iTunes for almost a full week, and consistently stayed in the top 10 on Amazon & Barnes & Noble.
My guess is a #5 or #6 debut. She has made an amazing album and it deserves to be heard by everyone else out there. Too bad she got sick when she did....the timing seriously sucked.
And honestly, I highly doubt that releasing a different single would have made ANY difference at all. No one over the age of 35 gets played on Top 40 radio anymore...whether you are Streisand, Stevie Nicks, Cher, Heart, Pat Benatar or WHOEVER...and that's the truth.
