If it turns out that every song on IYD is about Lindsey, great. If it would have been that none of the songs are about Lindsey, that would have been great, too.
One of the things about songs is that, whatever the song means to the writer or to the singer, a song can very often take on a different meaning for the listener. Sometimes, that meaning resonates for the listener more strongly than it does for the writer or the singer.
For example, I know what led Stevie to write "Gypsy," but its personal meaning to me in my life to me overpowers what Stevie was writing about from her life. And, in my own little world, I imagine "Fall From Grace" segueing into "Destiny Rules" live because, to my mind, "Destiny Rules" is the sequel to Fall From Grace."
Stevie could very well have Karen Johnston hop on this board first thing tomorrow morning and tell me Stevie herself wants to disabuse me of the notion that "Destiny Rules" is the sequel to "Fall From Grace" and I won't give two ****s in a bucket about it.

That's just the way it goes with songs sometimes.
