How about Kristen Bell for Stevie? I know she's made terrible film decisions of late, but anyone who saw Veronica Mars knows she's an incredible actress. She's also a great singer and dancer.
Granted, the faces are completely different--KB's delicate features stand in sharp contrast to SN's doe-eyed, pouty-lipped, jutting-chinned look. Other than that, she'd be perfect!

Or, Amanda Seyfriend? Also bitsy, and with colored contacts I think she could look quite like Stevie--she has the doe eyes, full lips, and sharper chin. She's also a good singer, though I don't think she could pull off a Stevie voice as well as KB could.

Finally, Drew Barrymore. Granted, she's almost too old for the part already (36), but she does look younger. Not that petite (5'4''), but facially I think she resembles Stevie the most. Decent singer. And more than probably any other actress in Hollywood, she could work that Nicksian blend of charm and immaturity.


But please, please not Sienna Miller! Did you see Factory Girl? Oh, to be able to unsee it!
