train, or worse yet, NJ Transit? Either way, big mistake. It looks like both routes swing through Philadelphia, whereas the Academy Bus goes directly down the Garden State Parkway (making only one stop at the rest stop where the Turnpike and the Parkway merge). Last time I took the bus, I left AC a little after midnight and got back to the Port Authority by 2:15AM. And there were maybe five other people on the bus- definitely plenty of elbow room.
If you reserve early enough via megabus.com, the round trip is like $1. It's crazy.
