At my last job, I could walk into the bathroom and recognize instantly who was in there after one whiff; that's how frequently this particular individual chose to do this at work. Trust me, if your senses were assaulted like this day after day by the same individual, you would also find it highly offensive, to say the least.
I do feel sorry for sufferers of IBS, but that's more of a woman's problem. Chances are, if the repeat-offender is a man, he doesn't have IBS; he's just plain gross.

But this is MY POINT!

It happens once in a while to most people - there's nothing wrong with that! You're judging people to be gross when you don't even know them! Maybe that's the first time they've had to poop in public in a year.
I hope & assume you never take road trips or go camping.
Now. For people who do this all the time (like Homie's bar buddy), I agree, it's a bit odd & inconsiderate. He obviously has some issues he should see a doc for.

My original point was not 'How dare someone's sh*t stink!' - it was 'Why do some people not take the initiative to mask their odorous by-products when the opportunity is available to them?' I'd imagine it would be natural to be aware of the way you leave a room, especially if it isn't within your own home.

Now THAT, I don't get either. If there's spray or matches, make an effort. Courtesy flush even.
The other thing that I hate is when you're at someone's house for a party & someone goes in the main bathroom to poop (like, the guest bathroom on the main floor that everyone else is using.) If I had to go, I'd use a more "private" bathroom if there is one (and if I wasn't sure the host would like me lurking around their house seeking one out, I'd come out & ask them!) I hate it when people
don't go upstairs to use my other bathroom when I'm entertaining, but use the main one of the first floor instead. Now that IS gross.

Other people do pretty well without ever having to resort to air freshener, and if I ever find myself having a pooping schedule, the world has permission to shoot me
Btw, a hang-up over toilet business is a sure sign that you're uptight

THANK YOU!

So true!

Having to drink TAB to poop means you
aren't really in control of your body.

You're taking a daily laxative.

One enters a public bathroom at one's own risk.
Now, if I enter my office and realize someone crapped in the corner, I'm going to be angry.

There are no stores anywhere near me and no woods to crawl into. What would you do Jannie?? In a panic I noticed someones open garage and into that sucker I went, crouched down in a corner and released that baby. It was so humiliating. Praying to God I wouldn't get caught and imagining those poor people getting into their car and smelling that sheet.
These days when I walk by that garage I notice they still have the door wide open...

You can't be for real.
I have a friend (no really, it wasn't me

) who has real issues - not sure if he's been diagnosed, but I'd bet he has IBS or soemthing similar. Anyway, he got the urge while driving & was trying to get to a public bathroom. Knew he wasn't going to make it. Pulled over, opened his door & squatted next to it. Had to wipe with an old Tshirt he happened to have in the car. He obviously left the Tshirt there. It was near a school & police station & he was petrified the whole time that a cop was going to pull over. At least it wasn't on someon'es property.

Obviously not. If you have to drink TAB to go every time, you're actually chronically constipated.

Also camchristo, how rude of you to make this comment. Didn't someone state earlier in this thread that no one is to be judged for what they reveal? Who are you to judge me for my actions until you too one day may face the same predicament?
|
Sorry dude, but I agree that merits a comment. I would have knocked on a door & begged - if that failed I would have found a tree or a side/backyard over a garage.

Never mind about judgement - dude, you can't post stuff like that anywhere and expect people to say nothing. I don't know about the US, but if you'd got caught doing that here, you'd wind up with a record. Why didn't you just knock on doors and ask to use a bathroom? In a few minutes, you'd have found someone who would have let you.
Honestly, if I caught anyone dropping one in my garage, I'd give them a range of new holes to emit from in future.

Well, at the least I would think it's trespassing.

Vandalism maybe?

Classy. We've had students poop in hallways & dresser drawers. Ick.

Yes, yes and yes. I would never think about doing that for one second. I would either find an out of the way tree or just s**t my pants and get home to mitigate the damage as soon as possible. And yes, if he had been caught, he definitely would have been arrested and faced some charges. Now, I can't say I would ever let a stranger in my house to use the bathroom, but someone might have. And I definitely would have kicked the ass of anyone I found doing that in my garage.

I'm with you Cammie.
