You definitely have the superior climate
. This part of Texas is semi-arid (rain is feast or famine, there's lots of cactus, trees are very short, etc)... so Summers here are very dry and unmercifully hot. There really aren't even many clouds here when July rolls around. But that's okay... there's lots of water to cool off in. Much of it Spring water... which is quite chilly!
