Ewww, say it isn't so! I grew up in Louisiana, where everybody likes to hunt & fish, so seeing deer heads in people's houses was pretty common. My grandparents had one with huge antlers that everyone hung their hats on.
But I've lived away from there (and haven't been back) in so long that, whenever I see that some redneck shirt-tail relative of mine has posted pics on FB of himself next to a deer carcass, I freak out a little.
For god's sake, Sheryl. There are *some* things about the South and the Midwest that are better left behind. Like deer heads. And slavery.
