Well, the snippet isn't as full instrumentally but essentially it is the same. I mean you don't change melodies no matter who is singing it. Hers has a very cool guitar hook in it that makes the song very memorable. Its a slide guitar hook--electric but very Ry Cooder/Bonnie Raitt-ish. Her version starts acoustic in the verse and builds to a full sound in the chorus. I really like it even though lyrically it's very different than what she typically writes.
The video that I saw for the song was shot in her house (not the condo) and it is very cool---I saw it several times and it made me like the song more every time I heard/saw it. It was shot as a performance and as a behind-the-scenes-making-of-the record. Stevie looks fabulous and is having so much fun that you get sucked into it. There is a snippet in the video of her doing a little dance with a little black hat on---it was my favorite part.
