Street Angel really isn't as bad as the rap it's given in my humble opinion. Sure, it's got it's share of real stinkers, but every Stevie solo album does in my opinion. I happen to think there are some truly strong tracks on Street Angel, most notably Blue Denim and Love Is Like A River.
For those who haven't heard Street Angel, give it a listen and decide for yourselves. Go to
www.grooveshark.com and you can stream all the songs on Street Angel for free. There are quite a few people on this board (I'm not making an example out of anyone in particular!) who have judged this album harshly without listening to it first. Just go give it a listen... all you'll be out is your time if you end up not liking it.
