You can read this one of two ways, either Rob Zombie thinks he knows something about homicidal maniacs or two he’s read enough psychiatry books to understand the blood hungry mind. What comes across on screen is a half-baked Oedipal fantasy wrapped in some of the most hackneyed symbolism. A white horse? A white robed woman? Really? This is what drives the mind of a madman? No, this is the crap of a Stevie Nicks video.
Now, even if Stevie Nicks makes you want to see red, perhaps even hack up a few horny teenagers you are probably going to do one of two things. Either you kill indiscriminately, leaving a trail of corpses in your wake or you have your thing, that something special, M.O., that trademark, where by you leave behind the victims like calling cards. In Halloween 2, Michael Meyers does both.
