No carpet doesn't deter them. And I'd never heard of the Lemon Pledge thing.
I thought lavender stopped scorpions (who knows?). I think the mosquito net
would just give them something to launch off of down to your bed.

It's okay now. I slapped it with my copy of Storms by CAD (finally found a use for it lol). Just a shame its stanky corpse fell down my shirt when I did it. I jumped off of my bed and shook so hard I may just have brain damage. I destroyed 6, count 'em SIX Spiders last night in the space of a half hour. Not good
iamnotafraid's right. Carpets do nothing to repel Spiders. We have all carpets and they still terrorise me. I heard that placing Conkers in the corners of the room and near the windows helps deter them. If that's true, next summer I'm changing my address to 123 Conker Tree. I swear they're mutants compared to the small ones I had last year :s
