I don't want to stray too far off topic, but what is the big deal with the Mayan calendar? Yes, they were supposedly very advanced for their time, but guess what? They dead. For a long time... Their claims about the universe are not affected by whether or not they're dead. What is important is how they arrived at such claims. Needless to say, they're methods weren't especially scientific...
In any case, I'm in a good mood at the moment, so I'll give people the benefit of the doubt and assume everyone that says they believe the world will end then is lying.
