Her overall impression is that nobody wants to hear the new stuff (although she did play a lot of new songs on the TISL tour). I think her reasoning would be that nobody's even heard these songs yet so of course they're not going to know them or want to hear them. This, of course, is far from the truth but I believe it's what Stevie will probably be thinking. Then again, she may just love these new songs so much and be so proud of them that she'll be compelled to play a few and not give a **** what anyone thinks. We shall see...

Well, then how do you explain her performing "Circle Dance" and "Face the Promise" on her recent tours? These are not exactly staples in the American songbook. If "Circle Dance" isn't a "hand-sitting" song, then I don't know what is! My feeling is that if she is feeling really excited about her new songs, and if they are really upbeat and rocking, she will do at least one. After all the hard work she just put into these songwriting and recording sessions, I think the last thing she will want to do is just pretend that nothing happened; she's a woman- she's gonna want to blab her big secret!
