Like I said in the Bluestown thread, I'll always defer to your knowledge, Chili -- you were
there during those days -- and as for me, for some odd reason, I have a hard time remembering
anything I was doing in the seventies.
Rick's website says his first session was Todd Rundgren's Something/Anything, but also work with Bobby Whitlock (and others):

And it bears repeating that this came about because of
Delaney and Bonnie, who heard Rick play on the east coast and convinced him to move to Southern Cal (at age 21, I think) and jump into the biz.
