I've always thought this, too. It clearly sounds like an apologetic song to me... like Christine has messed up with a lover. What could she have ever done to apologize to Mick Fleetwood for? She was undoubtedly his most reliable rock within the band. She provided the radio hits. She was the glue the kept the band together. There's more to the back story of
Oh Daddy than we know.
