Thank you so much for the link. If the church were willing to follow any of her suggestions, from priests marrying to women being allowed to fill the role of priest, I think the church might be able to turn the term "fallen-away Catholic" to "returned again." Or prodigal son Catholic. Whatevs.
Really, though, I like to hope this latest scandal is the nail in the coffin of the church's unsustainable adherence to a failed model. I don't really believe it, but I like to hope.
