I can't remember what class it was-probably some writing course- but in undergrad I wrote a paper explaining why
Plastic Ono Band by John Lennon was probably the most powerful, soul-bearing, and testimonial album ever created, and I totally got an A on it.*
*I think the professor was a Lennon fan.
But seriously...that album is a work of art. I'm all for papers on the greatness of an artist or a work of art. It's SO much more compelling when you believe it yourself, though you have to word it in a way that doesn't sound completely biased.
If I was writing a paper now I would totally choose LB's
Out of the Cradle as best album ever. And I would make sure to toot his horn.
