I chain smoked Cigs for 20 years and then quit cold turkey. I gained 35 pounds eating everything in sight. I had cravings everyday for 11 months. Then one day I woke up and said to myself, "wow I didn't have any cigarette cravings yesterday!"
A cigarette craving lasts anywhere from 10 to 45 seconds. I had 4 of them a day. When they occured I took in a deep breath and then let it out slowly. This is what we do when we puff on a cig: we take a deep breath and we let it out slowly.
There is more I could say on the subject but I'll end with the fact that I have been cigarette free now for seven and a half years! I never think about cigs anymore and can't wait till mary jane is out of my thoughts for good as well.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I totally miss it every day. Not happy about it at all. But I will try to win the war as you said. Deep breaths do help, and so does the treadmill. Anyway, we will see. Congrats again, and thank you for your kind words of encouragement.
