The malwarebytes scan is really good. I agree that McAfee sucks...I use Kaspersky Anti-virus and it works really well. I haven't had a single problem since I installed it. I don't know about the other kinds...because I had McAfee before also...but Kaspersky updates every hour so it always has up to date protection. Anyway, thats another option for you
