I saw Stevie in '05 in Charlotte, and that's definitely been my favorite solo show of hers I've ever seen. She was just radiant... her vocals were great, her outfits and hair were stellar, and she seemed to be having the time of her life. It was night and day compared to seeing her in Charlotte the year before with Fleetwood Mac. No lifeless Steviebot that night!
I also saw Stevie with Tom Petty the opening night of his tour in '06 in Charlotte. That was the first time they had performed Insider together since the '80s, and I can't describe how special it was for me to be there and see that. Seeing the real deal of Stevie and Tom singing Stop Dragging My Heart Around was just surreal, also something I never thought I'd see. I'd say this show was overall the happiest, bubbliest, and most enthusiast I've ever seen Stevie.
I didn't get to see Stevie and Don Henley... I don't think their short tour came anywhere near my neck of the woods. I would have liked to though... I've always liked his music with or without the Eagles. I hate I never got to see the live version of New York Minute with Stevie... she sure was a torch singer for that!
