My mom is a casual fan and brought home the Greatest Hits cassette in 1988. Of course, I didn't think my mom could like any good music, so needless to say I was shocked that I liked what I was hearing. I lost interest for awhile, but of course the Dance Reunion happened and I was hooked for life.
