I remember hearing about the line shutdowns and everything., but they doidnt affect me until SUnday the 1st when I had to leave to come back here. The Metropolitan an Jubilee lines from Wembley Park were shut down so I figured the Bakerloo Line from Wembley Central which was running from that station would serve my needs. However that one was shut down a few stops down the line. But the attendant at the station was very helpful. He told me that right around the corner was a bus that with a 10 minute ride would take me to where the Picadilly line ran which would take me right to the airport. Everything worked out very well!
Oh and I really hope you make to Australia and/or New Zealand!
