But that's not the same as "be all and end all." For example, I think the same statement could be said of SN and probably CM: "if it weren't for that musical genius, most of us would never have heard of FM at least on this side of the pond." The point is, given that understanding, how do the members accomadate each others' needs. The issue here was how the other band members accomodated LB (who is essential to the group), but we could also have a discussion about how LB and CM accomodated SN's needs because she, too, is essential.
What's really important here is that of these three arguably essential elements, the most needy is LB.
