I liked the album when I first got it, since it filled in the gaps with the singles that came out subsequent to Mr. Wonderful.
Although, I do prefer the US release English Rose...since it contained songs that were originally slated for (and actually ON the early pressings of) Then Play On ("One Sunny Day", "Without You", "Something Inside Of Me"), and included the singles ("Black Magic Woman", "Jigsaw Puzzle Blues", "Albatross")...the only one that is blatantly missing from this set is "Need Your Love So Bad". |
The ideal would be an album that was a cross between the two. Just take out the tracks from
Fleetwood Mac and
Mr. Wonderful (I'd mention the UK edition of
Then Play On, but
Enlish Rose came out first), and there would be a solid album.
I Believe My Time Ain't Long
