Perhaps we should have started the Guiding Light memorial thread. Actually I believe this is the death knell for soaps. As the World Turns contract is up next year and I doubt they will be renewed. Soaps pull in such dismal ratings these days and are too expensive to produce. Guiding Light is the only soap I ever watched however inconsistently in the last few years, and I have no plans to watch any others. It is being replaced with Let's Make a Deal with Wayne Brady. Sigh.
GL has 5 shows left and Reva and Josh are still not together. Are they honestly not going to put the signature couple back together before the end? At least Philip (yay Grant Alexander!) and Beth will be together.
