Some silly town in a silly state took top honors -- 07620, Alpine, New Jersey, median home price $4,139,041. But! California's Atherton, 94027, came in at number two, boasting a median home price as of $3,849,133.
Atherton, according to Business Week, is home to Eric Schmidt, chairman and CEO of Google; Charles Schwab, founder of the brokerage firm bearing his name; folliclly-challenged Meg Whitman, CEO of eBay; NFL football player Jerry Rice; and the greatest guitarist in the history of music/breaker of Stevie Nicks' magical heart, Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac.
