as you've always been one of the most productive members on the board in damn near every area, but pleeeease. A banjo and a tambourine on the night of enshrinement? That ceremony was sad -- fittingly sad in fact, considering the bad omen they cast by denigrating Welch to a nobody and has-been. That stuck with me more than anything else from the event's proceedings.
Beyond that, and as AliceLover called it, they should have used that unique opportunity to

Now try this out for size. I could easily envisage Lindsey and Jeremy accompanying Peter Green on a bittersweet rendition of Albatross (if the above numbers suggested didn't override it). What a treat that would have been! Next I could imagine - by stretching it even further, and I mean elasticity to the max here - Mick strapping on those missing balls he somehow lost and announcing - to the shock of the pugheads running the show - that two very special "guests" were about to join them for their second number. From the around the curtains appears none other than Bobs Welch and Weston, to the delight of the old Mac guard. Into Hypnotized (or Sentimental Lady or Miles Away) they go! Ta da! Now we're rampin' things up to far worthier FM heights than a silly tambourine. Finally as Pete and the Bob W's fade into the background, the BN era Five take front and center for a rousing and sentimental rendition of The Chain. Now that as I see it would bring down the house! At least, in the eyes of the Mac faithful, as opposed to latter day saints and posers.
But pinch me, alas I'm dreaming.
