^^^^Wow, and I thought I was just sort of indifferent about MJ's music- but I didn't actually hate the man! Still... although I never really was a fan of MJ's, I could appreciate him as a musician and as a maverick in a lot of ways. Hate it or love it, he practically invented the genre of big theatrical dance pop music- copied today by Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, etc.
In death, I am distraught- not because I will miss him or his music. I just find it sad that he was a truly damaged person who, despite having so much wealth, fame and talent, just could not escape his own demons in the end.
