Although lets be honest there are stalkers out there. I've met some crazy people through the net - one of the phoned me one time (she said she was a former model - yeah right) and said "I'm going to turn up at your door in a minute". She also used to send me messages saying "I love you" followed by "I hate you". Crazy... Scared the hell out of me when she rang me because she didn't know my phone number or my surname...
So personally I don't blame your mother...
